Equal Treatment Office Flevoland
Prevents & Fights Discrimination.
We are the independent institution in Flevoland dedicated to preventing & fighting discrimination on all grounds. Together we make our province fairer and a little more beautiful.
Prevention, education & training
To prevent discrimination, we pay attention to prevention and education. We do this by creating awareness, recognition and connection.
Bureau Gelijke Behandeling Flevoland takes you through challenging lessons and training on prejudice, diversity and equal treatment.
There are also regular activities focused on awareness, empowerment, meeting & connection.
Every municipality in the Netherlands has an anti-discrimination facility. Bureau Gelijke Behandeling is the facility for Almere, Lelystad, Noordoostpolder, Dronten, Urk and Zeewolde. Every resident or organization of Flevoland who has experienced discrimination or has questions about it can contact us.
Report discrimination
When you face discrimination, it is drastic. Discrimination is not allowed in the Netherlands. Are you facing discrimination, do you see it happening or are you not sure if it is discrimination? In all cases you can contact the national hotline Discriminatie.nl. Reports from our province are handled by our consultants. They can think along with you, mediate for you and possibly assist you with follow-up steps. Our help is free of charge.
