Your role in a nutshell:
As complaints counselor, you are responsible for providing legal support to victims of discrimination and you are the point of contact for our chain partners (including the OM and the police). You contribute to a just society by:
- Legal Advice: Providing legal advice and counseling to victims of discrimination.
- Support: Assist in filing complaints, returns and legal proceedings.
- Research: Conducting legal research on discrimination cases, reporting, and interpreting figures and relevant legislation.
- Documentation: Drafting legal documents, such as letters and pleadings.
- Networking:
- Support the establishment and maintenance of consultation networks.
- Participating in meetings and making visible set goals.
- Develop and maintain a relevant network for the purpose of complaint handling.
- Education: Provide education on anti-discrimination laws and promote awareness.
- Management: record keeping and registration of data.
Who are we looking for?
- Legal Background: A completed legal education at least at the college level.
- Affinity with human rights: Demonstrated affinity for anti-discrimination and human rights issues.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to discrimination.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Empathic: Ability to deal with diverse audiences in a professional manner.
- Team player: Proactive and solution-oriented team player.
- Flexible: Stress resistant and able to work with deadlines.
