Internship intervention projects discrimination in schools (WO)
24 hours a week
Bureau Gelijke Behandeling Flevoland is a foundation dedicated to the prevention of discrimination. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated WO intern (duration and start of internship in consultation, but no earlier than early August) to participate in our project aimed at combating discriminatory bullying behavior at schools.
Description
As an intern, you will work closely with your colleague Margriet. Together you are responsible for conducting research and intervention projects at primary and secondary schools. This includes conducting needs analyses and setting up effective intervention programs for schools that come to us because of specific problems with discriminatory (bullying) behavior. You will build on the work already done by your predecessor and seek out appropriate community organizations and other stakeholders to collaboratively develop, implement and monitor creative projects. The ultimate goal is to empower schools in creating a safe and supportive school environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research related to discriminatory bullying behavior (both literature review and field research).
- Identify community organizations, trainers, arts and cultural institutions and volunteers who can contribute to the interventions.
- Collaborate with community organizations to develop and implement creative projects.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of the projects in the schools.
- Other work by arrangement.
Requirements
- Enrollment in a relevant WO program in the field of social sciences, education science, or other relevant study.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Being able to think of creative solutions.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative.
- Affinity for creating an inclusive school environment
- Available from August or September
